Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe certainly seems to be putting his wizarding past behind him, trading the famous scar for demon horns in his latest post-Hogwarts movie, unsurprisingly entitled, Horns.
The bizarre, yet equally intriguing film, centers around Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), who awakes the morning after the mysterious death of his girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple), to discover demon-like horns sprouting from his head.
Having spent the last ten years of his life growing up as Harry Potter, you can’t blame Radcliffe for wanting to step away from the fantasy genre. His performances in the Broadway hit, Exodus, and the horror film The Woman in Black, proved that Daniel could hack life away from Hogwarts and forge a reputation as a serious actor.
Directed by horror filmmaker, Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D), this film is a far cry away from the Harry Potter years and looks set to be one of the unexpected hits of the year when it’s released across the UK on October 31st.
