OK, let’s all just calm ourselves down before watching this nerve-wrangling masterpiece of a trailer – Marvel Studios has just released a second full-length trailer for the upcoming mega-blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Uploaded to Marvel’s official YouTube channel yesterday, the exciting trailer has already generated over 5 million views, not surprising considering it’s one of the most anticipated films of 2015.
It’s common place now for Marvel to intertwine their storylines into one massive story-arch and Avengers: Age of Ultron looks set to delve even deeper into the comic-book franchise then ever before. This time we see Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) try to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, however things soon go awry and it is up to the Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.
It’s probably worth pointing out that this film is the first stepping stone to the upcoming ‘Civil War’ storyline that will be played out in Captain America: Civil War (2016), which will see Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America) face off – and from the looks of this trailer, we sure to see some of that hostility brought to light a little more clearly in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
You may remember back in Avengers: Assemble (2012), there seemed to be some hostility bubbling up between Rogers and Stark, and having just witnessed certain scenes in this trailer involving Tony Stark, it appears that sides may be forming as the mighty Avengers bond begin to fall apart.
Regardless of potential plot points, Avengers: Age of Ultron is certain to become one of the top grossing and critically-acclaimed films of all-time when it’s released worldwide on May 1, 2015.
