It’s getting close to Christmas, so it would make sense that the giving people over at Marvelwould shower us all with exclusive gifts and sneak peaks, the latest of which landed yesterday in the form of another trailer for the up-coming ‘titanic’ release that is Avengers: Age of Ultron.
It may only be a minute long, but that’s more than enough to send our anticipation of next years Avengers sequel into overdrive.
The clip which you can view below, takes place in what can only be assumed is Tony Stark’s New York skyscraper – you remember, the building that housed Loki’s portal machine that almost destroyed the world. In the clip we see Thor (Hemsworth) place his ridiculously heavy lightening hammer on the table (I’m still stumped how it doesn’t crush the table) and challenge the rest of the Avengers to lift it. Something not even remotely possible considering The Hulk (Ruffalo) tried to lift it in the first film, Avengers: Assemble (2012), and failed miserably, which in turn just made him even angrier.
But of course that won’t stop our favourite ‘billionaire-playboy-philanthropist, Tony Stark (Downey Jr), try to lift it, which of course ends in disappointing failure, even with the added assistance of an Iron Man arm and his best bud, Colonel James Rhodes (Cheadle). To his merit, Steve ‘Captain America’ Rogers (Evans) does manage to move it slightly, much to the worry of Thor, but also ends up failing to become guardian of Asguard (the prize you get if you do actually manage to pick it up).
Then of course the nice, relaxing, ‘ain’t life great’ moment gets rudely interrupted. Watch the whole SNEAK PEAK trailer below
