X-Men in IMDb’s Top 100

The newly released X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to 2011’s box-office success X-Men: First class, has officially broken into IMDb’s top 100 greatest films of all time.

X-Men: Days of Future Past was only released three days ago (22nd May), yet that hasn’t stopped Bryan Singer‘s superhero blockbuster from gathering more than 30,000 votes on the Internets most prolific movie news website, catapulting it into the top 100 films ever made.

Those that use IMDb on a regular basis will know how difficult an achievement this is, especially for a superhero film, as there are only two others that occupy this list, The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

All that’s left to see is how much of a positive impact this will have on box-office revenue over the coming weeks – but one thing’s for sure, the third installment, X-Men: Apocalypse, due for release in 2016, will have a lot to live up to.
